Since we have a holiday weekend, we have no Sunday coupon inserts = a break from coupon clipping!

If you subscribe to the Sunday paper only for the coupons, I suggest you put your paper on “Vacation Hold” until next Sunday and save yourself some cents. If you subscribe to the Chicago Tribune, you can cancel this Sunday’s delivery here. Most papers require a day or two’s notice, so do this sooner rather than later.

I often post about free small samples, but here is an opportunity to receive full size products. Synovate is a research company that offers paid surveys and full size items, often times before they hit the market.

Last night we stopped by Jewel to get some $0.99/dozen eggs. My husband snuck in a big bone-in ham shank portion as well to use for lunch meat. (And I am perfectly fine with him throwing things in the cart!) To my surprise and delight, it was just $1.69/lb which is actually cheaper than Aldi!

The cashier asked if I wanted to get stickers for the penny for a pan promo and I said “sure!”. Here is the sticker card that your cashier will give you. If you are going through the self-checkout, make sure the the overseer gives these to you.

This promotion is running through 1/12/2011 so spending $500 to get a frying pan for a penny is not quite so bad as I thought.
